I love looking at pictures of historical clothing in books. They are fascinating. Yes, even the togas of ancient Rome look so romantic.
But I guess it was not so romantic back then. There is a story of back breaking labor behind each and every garment. Without the modern advances and technology available today, clothing was expensive and a good looking garment was the privilege of the rich. So I feel very lucky that I have so many choices today as to what to wear. The variety and scope of types of clothes available to us are astounding.Â
